Description
The ECTEG PRAST Course aims to address and discuss the challenges faced in cybercrime units (backlog, budget constraints, complexity of investigations, capacity-building). The course will consider the requirements for conducting successful investigations efficiently while focusing on key personnel, state-of-the-art technological solutions, external supports, and general legal/regulatory considerations.
The course content will consider that, during the deployment, some variations may occur due to the national legislation. Lessons must include practical exercises, theory experiments and some “discussion” workshop materials.
This action will provide a training package allowing the national unit to identify possible solutions by examining processes and strategies and how innovative approaches, like the use of big data and artificial intelligence, may improve efficiency.
Target audience
The initial attendees of this course delivery will be Heads of Digital Forensic or Cybercrime units and their deputies. The goal is to help them better understand the available technical solutions so that they can make decisions in compliance with the national legal framework and directives.
