On the 15th and 16th of December 2020, we held our second annual General Assembly online.
The event gathered 47 attendees, including ECTEG members and representatives from CEPOL, EUROPOL, EUCTF and the European Commission DG Home.
During this General Assembly, the voting on new members and a new Board took place. We want to thank all attendees for joining during these two fruitful days.
We are glad to welcome the following institutions as new ECTEG members:
- Guarda Nacional Republicana (Portugal)
- Swedish Customs (Sweden)
- Universidad de Almería (Spain)
- Université de Laussane (Switzerland)
- Anglia Ruskin University (UK)
- Blekinge Institute of Technology (Sweden)
As for the ECTEG Board, we congratulate Mr Vandermeer, Mr Völzow and Mr El Galai for their continuation for another new term as Chair, Vice-Chair and Treasurer respectively.
This meeting has been a great occasion to meet again, despite the restrictions that the COVID 19 pandemic entails. Members took the opportunity to share updates on their past activities, current projects and exchange ideas and plan the next steps forward. We know this year has been challenging for all of our member institutions. Still, we are happy to learn from them on how they have overcome the obstacles and worked hard to keep providing quality education and training in the fight against cybercrime.
We send you our warmest thoughts and best wishes for a safe and peaceful holiday season.
We look forward to seeing the ECTEG members and experts in person next year!
